The Hong Kong Housing Authority is a statutory body responsible for implementing Hong Kong's public housing programme within the objectives of the Government's Long Term Housing Strategy, advises the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on all matters relating to public housing. Through its executive arm, the Housing Department, it plans and builds public sector housing, either for rent or sale.
