Electronic Dissemination of Tender Documents for Works Projects 電子投標發放服務

The HKFEMC has entered into a Distribution Agreement with Works Bureau to distribute tender documents in the form of EDP (electronic dissemination package) which can be downloaded from our website (www.hkfemc.org) or collected as a CD-ROM. This service will take effect on March 1, 2002. At the same time, the service provided previously by ECA, EMCA and PSWTA will be discontinued.

The HKFEMC will issue EDP Notice to ALL members of the 6 Associations (via the Associations) periodically.

There will be 2 categories of users - registered and non-registered.


For registered users :

- User account names and passwords will be assigned via separate emails (for security reason). Please change the password to one of your own choice as soon as possible by logging into www.hkfemc.org and follow the instruction. If you have query, call Miss Amelia Chan at 25193998.

- With the account name and password, you can download any EDP on www.hkfemc.org. Logging will be done automatically. If we observe abnormal downloading activity with your account, we will cross check with you to make sure that there is no tampering. EDP file size is typically in the range of 20 to 100MB. Our Distribution Agreement with WB does not allow us to modify the EDP in any way (a normal practice for software distribution). Thus, it will be distributed in its original form - the complete set with material not necessarily relevant to our E&M trades. Dialup connection at 28.8 to 56kbs will be out of question for such file size. A broadband connection is needed while leased line is even better. For those who have not yet got the facility and would like us to assist, again, call Amelia.

- You can also collect the EDP on a CD-ROM. Just place your order 3 days in advance by email to admin@hkfemc.org. HK$50 per CD-ROM will have to be paid upon collection. FEMC members will enjoy a 50% discount ($25 net only). There is NO need to sign any individual license agreement as you have already signed the general agreement during registration.


For non-registered users :

- You can collect the EDP on a CD-ROM. Just place your order 3 days in advance by email to admin@hkfemc.orgor by phone at 25193998. HK$50 per CD-ROM will have to be paid upon collection. FEMC members will enjoy a 50% discount ($25 net only). It is also necessary to sign the license agreement for that particular tender as what was required before with ECA, EMCA and PSWTA.

- You cannot use the internet download service.

If you wish to enjoy the downloading service, just fill in the attached EDP Registration Form and sign on each page, then return the original to the Federation as soon as possible.
